On March 2nd, 2023, Greentec successfully delivered the shaft generator retrofit for AASHNA, which marks a satisfactory beginning for Adani Shipping fleet Shaft Generator retrofit project. For this series of Shaft Generator retrofit projects, Greentec provides turnkey services from engineering design, Shaft Generator system procurement to installation and commissioning, etc.

In response to the EEXI&CII regulations, decarburization and emission reduction have become the top priority for the shipping industry. According to owner’s requirements and the performance of its fleet, Greentec proposed a total solution of the shaft generator system retrofitting, which was well recognized by the client. The installation of the system can effectively increase the overall energy efficiency, improve the EEXl&CII and achieve the low carbon operation of the vessel.

During engineering design stage, Greentec has maintained close communications with the owner, the Class, the manufacturer and the shipyard, and guaranteed smooth design process and Class approval. During procurement stage, to ensure the product quality and on-time delivery, Greentec arranged several FAT and made the inspections of the equipment to ensure strict compliance with the standard and schedule. During installation and commissioning stage, Greentec strictly controlled the project schedule, actively coordinated and arranged the inspection, orderly and efficiently promoted the project execution.

“AASHNA” was delivered after 25 days installation and successfully completed the sea trial. Greentec coordinated with multiple parties to overcome the difficulties, leading to a successful completion of the whole project and a high recognition from the owner, shipyard and other partners.
